Global Awareness Local Action (G.A.L.A.) and Jack Mountain Bushcraft School are excited to announce the next feature in their monthly NH Self Reliance Workshop Series, focusing on homesteading, sustainable living, and bushcraft skills taught by local experts. The goal of the series is to help participants develop rural life skill while boosting personal and community resiliency. The next workshop focuses on Campfire Cooking and will take place on Wednesday, November 12th, at the Barn at Moody Mountain Farm in Wolfeboro, NH.
Interested in the ancient art of cooking over a fire? Join Tim Smith, founding director of the Jack Mountain Bushcraft School and registered Maine Guide, for the workshop Campfire Cooking: Dutch Oven, Reflector Oven, and Pot Suspension. Participants will learn all the different methods of cooking over an outdoor, open flame fire, including Dutch ovens, reflector ovens, and how to set up a pot suspension system. Then, after the equipment is in order, the group will cook and share a meal together!
This workshop takes place from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, at the Barn at Moody Mountain Farm (100 Pork Hill Road, Wolfeboro). The cost to participate in the workshop is $15.00. Please call 603-539-6460, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit galacommunity.org to register or for more information.
