First-Night Chili & Chowda’ Fundraiser

I’ve heard it called “steaming sustainable goodness.” That’s one way to put it. I think “hearty and wholesome” works just as well. Whatever you want to call it, it has become an annual First-Night tradition for many – G.A.L.A.’s very own “Chili & Chowda’ Fundraiser” as part of the Wolfeboro First Night Celebration, December 31st, from 6-10pm, Carpenter Elementary School. Soups are made with many local ingredients from area farms and may be served in . . . you guessed it . . . . bread bowls! These bread bowls are made special by Peg from the Sunnyfield Brick Oven Bakery.

In addition to fueling up on some delicious soup and sweets, you can also enjoy live music entertainment at this same location including Mango Groove (6-8pm) and Woodchuck’s Revenge (9-10pm). Check us out – fill your belly, warm your bones, dance ’till ya’ drop, and feel good about it!

We are still looking for volunteers to help setup, serve soup, do dishes, and donate baked goods. If you are interested in helping in any of these ways, please contact Jackie WItham, at
