“The Pennies” Live at the Ossipee Mountain Grange Hall, Saturday August 25th!

Live Music, Non-Profit Presentations, & Burrito Truck on Aug 25

Global Awareness Local Action (G.A.L.A.) is pleased to announce that The Pennies, a local Americana music group, will be playing an outdoor show on August 25, starting at 7pm. The toe tapping performance will take place in the backyard of the Ossipee Mountain Grange Hall at #3 Pork Hill Road.

The Pennies hail from Somerville, Massachusetts and describe their genre as Americana, a combination of country, folk, rock, and jazz. The four-member band began in 2006 and since has played shows all across New England.

Come with your dancing shoes AND AN APPETITE! The Big Love Mexican Diner Truck, from Sandwich, NH, will be providing show-goers a chance to dine on burritos. The Diner Truck will begin selling food at 6:30pm.

In addition to the music, a presentation from Wild Gift, a non-profit located in Sun Valley, Idaho, will be shown. The organization takes young, innovative, environmentally-minded entrepreneurs on deep wilderness treks, instilling stewardship, while connecting them with other like-minded individuals and mentors in their field. Wild Gifts goal is to create a springboard for action to help generate a more sustainable world. A reunion will be held at the Ossipee Mountain Grange Hall the weekend of August 25 in conjunction with this concert. Josh Arnold, the Director of Global Awareness Local Action was a participant on a 2011 Wild Gift trek.

This event is family friendly and open to the public.  A $5 – $10 donation is being asked to attend the event. For more information, please call G.A.L.A. at 603-539-6460 or email contact@galacommunity.org. We hope to see you there!
