  1. Julie Delongchamp from Bentley University's Green Society

Hello! My name is Julie Delongchamp, and I am Bentley Green Society’s president. Green Society’s major event during the spring semester is Earthfest in celebration of Earth Day. This typically features performances by student musicians and dance teams, lawn games, and locally sourced food offerings. The goal is a mix of celebrating, learning, and promoting sustainable lifestyle choices.
To achieve this, we think it would be great to feature a bike-powered blender at the event. We have reached out to organizations with smoothie bikes that are more local to us in the Waltham, MA area, but their bikes are not available for our date. Although it is not quite sustainable to drive such a long way to pick up the bike, we will use the trip to make a stop at an old friend’s house along the way! We would have one of our personnel manning the bike for the duration of the event to ensure it remained in good condition. The event is on April 17, 2015 from 2-5PM, so we would look to pick it up on April 15th is possible (morning of April 17th is doable as worst case). If the bike is available on that date, please let me know what the protocol for reserving it would be, what the security deposit is in addition to the $50 flat fee, and when we would be able to pick it up in anticipation for this event.

Thank you very much for considering this request. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi, I’m an Ed. Tech. At York High School in York, Maine. We are in a spirit competition this fall to show spirit and raise money for food pantries. Since I do both fitness and food preparations with students with special needs, I thought a bike blender at the early morning spirit rally would be perfect. I believe this event is featured on a major TV network. It’s coming up this fall. Can someone call me about details. I need to know how long before I need to return the bike. I have a house in Ossipee, NH. My son, Phil belongs to your community and has rented the blender bike before. Thanks, Marie
