Start a Study Circle

Every year G.A.L.A. helps communities in NH organize Study Circles – small groups of people coming together to learn about topics of sustainability in a fashion similar to a book club.  Learn more.

Sustain-A-Raisers and You!

Sustain-A-Raisers are volunteer-led installations of raised garden beds, rain barrels, compost bins, cold frames, and clotheslines! Inquire about hosting or volunteering for a Raiser today!

Veggie-Powered Truck-for-Hire!

Is there a job you’ve been putting off because you don’t have a truck?  Need a load of manure or compost for your garden but not interested in shoveling?   Would one more cord of wood in the driveway help you sleep better at night?  Let G.A.L.A. help!

One of the ways that G.A.L.A. funds its sustainable community building efforts like Study Circles, Sustain-A-Raisers, Contra Dances and other events is through hiring out our truck that runs on waste vegetable oil.   When the truck is not being used for a Sustain-A-Raiser it is available for nearly any and all odd jobs you might have where a one-ton dump body would be useful.

We are excited to offer these competitive rates for our Veggie-Powered Truck-for-Hire –

Depending on how labor-intensive the job is, we either ask $50 per load/trip (within 20 miles from 3 Pork Hill Rd., Ossipee, NH)

OR

$75/hour

These rates help cover the costs of procuring and filtering WVO, maintaining the truck, and labor.  Reserve G.A.L.A.’s Veggie-Powered truck today by calling 603-539-6460 or email contact@galacommunity.org.
